AJS & Matchless Owners Club (East Berks Section)

On Sunday 19th July 2009 the AJS & Matchless Owners Club (East Berks Section) organised its 4th Charity Run. The event was in support of The Prostate Cancer Charity (registered charity No. 1005541). Twenty-nine riders and two pillions took part in the 74 mile run though the Chiltern countryside of south Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
A total of £419 was raised for the charity, £60 of which was raised by Mike Monk through sponsorship by his friends and relatives. "Well done Mike!"
This years run was again spoilt by some bad weather with a heavy downpour just a we were arriving at the Thame Scout HQ for our lunch stop and another soon after the lunch stop en-route to Postcombe.
An excellent ploughman's lunch was provide by Jill Gregory, assisted by Barbara Eales and Pat Lewis.
